Overview
The Granary system is a system that helps us to generate vouchers internally for ourselves, and various third-party providers that have partnered with us. Previously, before the implementation of the Granary system, all of our vouchers were purchased in bulk each month and stored on our Content Ready system.
Since the implementation of the Granary system, we no longer are required to bulk buy vouchers from certain suppliers. Instead, we are able generate the vouchers in-house and in-turn pay the respective voucher suppliers based on the amount owing for that specific bulk voucher purchase.
What is the benefit of the implementation of Granary?
The benefit to us with the implementation of the Granary system, it now enables us to create a voucher in real time, only once it is purchased from our platform. This means a customer will come to one of our vendors, ask them for a voucher, once they click on the respective voucher then the following happens:
- Our device sends a call to Content Ready to request the voucher.
- Content Ready sends a call to Granary to create the voucher.
- Granary creates the voucher and sends a copy of the voucher to the supplier so it can be recognized on their systems and sends a copy of this voucher back to Content Ready.
- Content ready sends this voucher back to the device and is then printed out to complete the sale.
Which vouchers do we produce on Granary?
The vouchers that are produced through the Granary system are:
- Kazang top up vouchers
- Bet.co.za vouchers
- YesPlay vouchers
- EasyPay vouchers
- LottoStar vouchers
- Talk360 vouchers
- Castle bet vouchers (Namibia)
- Play vouchers
Where can an agent view the voucher status and status definitions?
A Contact Centre agent can view the status and the definition of the status on the Transaction screen on our Content Ready system. This can be done by simply entering the transaction reference number into the transaction search bar.
Below is the various statuses and their meanings:
Granary Voucher Status | Status Summary | Image |
| New | This means that voucher has not been redeemed by the customer. | ![]() |
| This voucher has already been redeemed | This means that the customer has already redeemed on the provided Date and Time. | ![]() |
| This voucher has been removed | This means that the voucher has been deleted by Content Ready as it has been inactive longer than 12 months. Simply put, the system is unable to get to pin to check the status on Granary. |
